Creating What's Next and What's Needed

Joel Riling, VP Government Programs

For the SmartRayVision team, attending various regional IABTI Expos and other trade shows is more than just an opportunity to demonstrate our products. It’s also a chance to listen and innovate. In fact trade shows are some of the best ways we explore new ideas for helping EOD techs succeed.

Recently, special team member Tim Nauslar and I spent a couple of hot, sticky days in New Orleans at the 2017 IABTI Region II in-service training and product expo. Like most all industry expos, there was plenty of good conversation and great camaraderie, and this time, fantastic Louisiana food, as well. The event also gave us a chance to present a prototype of a new product accessory we’re calling the QuickStand.

QuickStand is designed by Tim and built by Ideal Products, Inc., as a "multi-tool" for robotic integration with our portable SmartRayVision system. The QuickStand provides multi-platform interoperability as well as extreme configuration flexibility to accommodate varying scenarios when using the SmartRayVision Extreme X-Ray System.

The QuickStand, along with another component-filled accessory pack for robotic integration aren’t yet available but will be soon. In the meantime, we’re grateful to all the techs who stopped by to give us feedback. It’s yet another example of how we continue to listen to you, take good ideas to the drawing board, then develop whatever will make your job easier, safer, more successful.

See you at the next show.
